Highlights
The radon bath has long been cherished as a place of healing for cancer and intractable diseases, attracting people from all over the world. “Mine Radon Bath” is one of the rarest sanctuaries of its kind. This work portrays—through a blend of nonfiction and fiction—the dramatic life and love of Yoshiyaki Kamei, the founder of Tomisu no Sato, and his wife, as well as the stories of people who, guided by fate, seek out this place of healing. Why do people come to Tomisu no Sato? What is a miracle? In the end, it is up to you to experience it.

<Project Overview>

This time, we are producing a film that begins at Tomisu no Sato, Japan’s first and the world’s third “Tunnel Radon Bath,” located in Yasutomi Town, Himeji City. The story will focus on the connections between people, aiming to contribute to regional revitalization, social impact, and tourism promotion.

Yasutomi Town is a picturesque area with expansive rural landscapes. Nearby, there are well-known spots such as the emerald-green Yasutomi Dam, the “Scarecrow Village,” and several tangible cultural properties.

<Synopsis>

Radon baths have long been cherished as healing places for cancer treatment and other intractable diseases, attracting visitors from all over the world. The film portrays the extraordinary life and love story of Yoshiharu Kamei, the founder of the Tunnel Radon Bath Fusu no Sato, and his wife. It also tells the stories of people brought together by fate in search of healing, blending non-fiction and fiction elements.

<Passed Film Classification: G (All Ages)>
